Hi, my name is Jo and I am a professional celebrant, and

I trained with the academy of professional celebrants (APC).

I have been a nurse for all of my adult life and I focused upon palliative (end of life care) and I have loved every moment of it and have felt honoured to care and support people at such important times.  I hope to bring my experience of connecting with people and supporting people through challenging times to provide you with a service as unique as you are!

I decided to train to become a celebrant after having a celebrant for my own wedding and also having celebrant led funerals for members of my family.

I chose a celebrant wedding as I wanted a ceremony which was focused upon us and our lovely family, I enjoyed the process of not having to adhere to prescribed traditions, to create something that reflected us as people (not just what we should do!) and was inclusive of those who mattered greatly to us as a couple.

Don't get me wrong, initially it was daunting, let's face it, there is so much to think about, but to be able to get married in a garden with our family was such a special moment to us.

My aim is to provide a bespoke service to really embrace and reflect who you are. Our world is ever changing and we now have many choices in how we approach those meaningful moments in our lives, I wanted to be able to help people, like you, navigate all the options available in creating a service that is truly unique and reflects your values.

I would be working for you, I will be your guide to help you transform your wishes for your service into a reality. The only limit is our collective imagination!

I live in Exmouth, Devon with my husband and rescue dog Noodle, but am happy to travel to where I am needed and can be helpful.
